Recognize that in a world of machine learning and fragmented behavior, data will be exponentially more important. But not data itself but the ability to use data to illuminate opportunities, partnerships, and ROI by understanding patterns, combining math and meaning to drive data driven story telling and create an underlying infrastructure of intelligence and form that keeps the business focused and informed in a chaotic media, consumer, and competitive environment. • Humans: Banks become storytellers. Country games as a proxy for real work. Starbucks as a proxy for decision making. Some of Elon Twitter-texts.

  • Business: Vertical SaaS win the prize. Sleep concierge. Netflix shift from online videos to real-world entertainment experience. McKinsey benefits to society. Unsexy middle bits. Uncertainty index. Online dating business model decompiled. GM goes for solar energy and storage.

  • NN: Amazon dream home, panopticon nightmare. Weaponizing text against AI. ML invisibility cloak. US published an AI Bill of Rights, for humans.

  • Biosphere? Oldest aquifer-replenishing systems. Snow crabs disappear. Building with fungus. Shropshire fungi. 5bn phones going to waste, per year. Cavities microbes form crawling organisms.

  • Thermoformable ceramics. Feral Atlas. UK back to imperial units?

  • Random: Barilla pasta, open source, and climate change. After the blackest black, the whitest white. New blood type?
    BBC methodology for Futures bazaar.

  • Consumed: Colour out of space.
