Borges Babel Movies - a short story
Sam opened her last bottle of club mate. She had been polishing her masterpiece over the last few days.
The earlier prototypes of Borges were psychedelic sequences of dreams. They had since evolved in more realistic stories, then, feeding on her wearables feedback, managed to build suspense and tension tailored to her person. She could setup a movie style, type, and length, and Borges would create a movie as it went. Mixing classical French movies and Bollywood, in a Ghibli style, was mesmerizing. It was as if gazing into an abyss void of emptiness - an infinite without intent.
Everything had started with GPT3, creating stories, and DALL·e and its visual imagination. Sam had meshed the two together and already managed to publish a few articles. Communication agencies had tried to copy her work, but generative ads were not yet desirable - not really aligned with her view of her Science, Art, Creation and Research doctoral programme.
The night had been long: she had mistakenly connected Borges to Tulpa, her digital twin, instead of an synthetic persona. Tulpa, an AI shaped on her virtual life, helping her manage her digital chores, was now pointing at a new movie, "Apkdait".
Borges had already written the synopsis: "Sam opened her last bottle of club mate. She had been polishing her masterpiece, Borges, over the last few days."
